For 60 years, AMBA has been the exclusive military banking trade association serving the banking community and our Nation’s armed forces. For fifty-nine years, AMBA has been the exclusive military banking trade association serving the banking community and our Nation’s armed forces.

AMBA conducts an annual workshop to provide an opportunity for its members, government officials overseeing military banking, federal regulators, banking trade organizations, and other stakeholders to exchange ideas and discuss the latest banking issues affecting the service members and their families.

Hotel Reservations

A special group rate of $225+/night (US) will be offered to AMBA Workshop participants. The room rate is exclusive of applicable state and local taxes (currently 13%).

Included in the group rate is complimentary WIFI and access to the fitness facility.

The Hotel cannot guarantee bed-type or sleeping room location but will certainly do its best to accommodate all requests.  Please make your requests when you make your reservation.

For government travelers:  Rooms will be offered at the Federal Government Per Diem rate to participants traveling on the Federal Government Per Diem.  To obtain this rate, please make your hotel reservation with the Breakers at the workshop rate of $225+/night and then contact Centennial Conference via email (amba@centennialconferences.com) with your confirmation number to obtain the government rate.  You will receive notification from Centennial Conferences when your room reservation with a rate of $225+/night has been converted to government rate.  Your confirmation number will remain the same.  As always, your US government ID must be presented upon check-in in order to receive this rate.

Be advised that The Breakers is unable to re-rate the reservation prior to check-out but the government rate will be reflected on your final statement upon check out.  The deposit reflects the group rate but the difference between this amount and the government rate will be posted as a credit to your final statement.

To obtain the workshop rate and the government per diem rate, you need to make your reservation on or before Monday, August 19, 2019.

Reservation Guarantee and Cancellation Policy:  One-night room deposit (excluding taxes) is required at the time of reservation.  Any reserved room canceled less than 3 days prior to arrival will forfeit the deposit collected at the time of reservation.  If a reservation is reduced in length of stay within the cancellation period, a penalty fee applies.

Check-In/Check-Out:  Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM (noon).  Early check-in and late check-out will be accommodated based on availability.  For late check-outs, please inquire at the front desk on the day of departure.

Hotel Parking Fees:

  • Valet and Overnight Parking: $30/day

Getting to The Breakers & Palm Beach

The Breakers is about 6 miles (approximately 15-20 minutes) from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) and 52 miles (approximately 1 hour) from Fort-Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).

Taxi Service

The estimated taxi costs are: from PBI: $25-$30, from FLL: $130-$150, for one-way transfers.

The Breakers Concierge would gladly assist you with making transportation arrangements if needed by calling 561-655-6611.  The rate for a one-way sedan transfer is $97.00.

The 2019 AMBA Annual Workshop has been approved for 11 CEUs from the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education (AFCPE) afcpe.org.

Enjoy a self-guided tour of Whitehall with audio headphones.

Henry Flagler, one of the founders of Standard Oil, built Whitehall as a summer home and gave it to his third wife, Mary Lily Kenan, as a wedding present. It is 60,000 square feet

Whitehall was designed in the Beaux Arts Style and open to the public and a National Historic Landmark is known as the Flagler Museum.
