Al Martin has been with First Citizens Bank since his retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2002 as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving over 32-years on active duty. Since joining the bank in 2002 he has served in various retail banking positions. In his current position Al is responsible for the Retail and Small Business Operations of two Eastern North Carolina branches, one of which is aboard the Marine Corps installation at Camp Lejeune, NC. His branches services a broad clientele of active duty and retired military and their families, DoD civilians, on-base government and non-appropriated entities, contractors and an array of retail merchants. Al’s undergraduate degrees include Business Administration and Political Science from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He holds a board position with the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Eastern North Carolina, member of the Greater Topsail Beach Chamber of Commerce, and serves as his church’s Treasurer. Al resides with his wife, Janna of 47 years in Eastern North Carolina and has a daughter, Kimberly and son, Kevin; and 4 grandchildren – Hannah and Drew Grantham; and Simon and Holden Martin.
